Our robotics team is growing and we are looking for a ML Software Engineer to join our Localization & Mapping team. You will be working on challenging problems in the design and implementation of offboard map priors used on our current and future robots for localization and online map inference. We're searching for an engineer with experience building robust ML and/or mapping systems that work with real data in uncertain environments, and a strong desire to contribute to the future of robot navigation for logistics and transportation.About the Work

• Design and implement computer vision & 3D geometry related ML pipelines used in various L&M systems
• Investigate state-of-the-art algorithms for long term experimental projects related to localization, mapping, and semantic understanding
• Work cross functionally with other ML teams to integrate algorithms into centralized architectures
• Scope out and assist in implementing labeling taxonomies and methodologies, as well as data mining
• Work closely with other autonomy engineers to integrate detection pipelines into the autonomy system and analyze resource usageAbout You

  • "Integration experience" - ability/background in working with robotics systems, practical real-world considerations in design/implementationAt Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $167,200 and $250,800 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
