Machine Learning Researcher - New College Grad 2025Mountain View, CAMatX's mission is to make the world's best AI models run as efficiently as allowed by physics, bringing the world years ahead in AI quality and availability. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI. We are looking for people who are excited about systems-focused ML research.Responsibilities include:

• Train and optimize LLMs for our hardware
• Build and set up distributed infrastructure for training and inference
• Advise on the hardware architecture from an ML perspectiveRequirements:
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree by date of employment
  • Excellent software engineering skills
  • Experience training and tweaking neural networks, ideally LLMs
  • Perhaps: experience optimizing neural networks for hardware efficiency, for example regarding FLOPs, memory bandwidth, communication bandwidth, precision, parallel layout, batch sizesCompensation:
    • The US base salary for this full-time position is $120,000 - $200,000 + equity
    • Commuter stipend available for employees within 60 minutes of the office
