About the role
We're seeking a Principal Product Designer to join the growing Product Design team at Chime. As a Principal Product Designer, you'll work with creative thinkers, tech innovators, and savvy builders to help design and create products that disrupt the financial industry. Our products help make personal finance accessible to the millions of Americans that live paycheck to paycheck. If you're in search of a mission-driven company, we'd love to talk to you.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $198,990 and up to $281,900. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco with 3 days per week in the office.

  To thrive in this role, you have
  
  • 
    
  • 8-10+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital and mobile experiences
    
  • A consistent record of building successful consumer mobile apps.
    
  • A portfolio of industry defining visual and interaction design samples.
    
  • The ability to balance business objectives with user needs. You represent both sides and balance your design decisions, getting the best possible outcome for both.
    
  • The ability to take a first principles approach to sophisticated problems and articulate the decisions behind every design detail.
    
  • A growth mindset, be an optimist, and be adaptable! We're a fast growing company and are learning as we grow.
    
  • Ability to code or build a prototype is a plus.
