Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Prepared Foods Cook to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality food products are prepared and presented to our customers. Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets and recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Food Handling and Safety: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated to prevent waste and maintain food safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner, answering phones and pages promptly, and modeling suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales potential.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, and adhere to established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Adaptability: Be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, work schedules, and store needs to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  Requirements:
  
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 6-12 months retail experience.
  • Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, good basic math skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a wet and dry environment.
