Job Description:
Zoom's flagship offering for conference rooms and workspaces is
Zoom Rooms. The Zoom Rooms software runs on an open hardware
ecosystem, bringing the innovation of Zoom to all of the physical
spaces where people work through vendor partner hardware including
appliances, controllers, cameras, PCs, Macs and other peripherals.
Optimizing our software audio, visual and meeting capabilities to
fit the needs of our customers, the rooms they wish to use and the
hardware offerings of our partners requires an understanding of
conference rooms and other common physical spaces used for video
conferencing, audio, video, hardware & software capabilities, and
common administration & reporting activities. The Sr. Product
Manager for Zoom Rooms position will drive Zoom's leadership in the
conference room space by advancing Zoom's vision and jointly
innovating with customers and vendor partners to increase customer
happiness.Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Zoom Rooms vision and strategy to fulfill
customer needs in conference rooms and workspaces
- Engage with new hardware partners to invent the future of
conference room experiences
- Own the roadmap for Zoom Rooms core audio, visual and meeting
features and their integration with partner hardware and device
firmware
- Drive audio, visual and meeting features that integrate with
partner hardware and firmware through the product lifecycle,
breaking down the vision into product releases, driving with Zoom
engineering teams and partners through joint execution and
delivery
- Analyze competitive offerings to inform your strategy and the
strategy of the software products and partner hardware/firmware
integrations that Zoom builds
- Work with customers and partners to ensure that solutions you
define can be implemented and deployed effectively
- Work with marketing to ensure that the benefits of your
developments can be effectively communicated to our current and
future customersRequirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software product management
required
- Experience with low-level software-hardware integration,
especially with Android OS devices & applications, preferred
- Experience with conference room A/V environments and room
design preferred
- Experience with conference room deployment, configuration,
administration and device management in a customer environment at
scale (1000s of devices) preferred
- Familiarity with REST API, WebSocket, Webhook concepts and
design preferred
- Familiarity with competitor conference room offerings from
Microsoft, Google, Cisco Webex preferred
- Previous experience in SaaS-based Enterprise focused
organization preferred
- Technical background required; Engineering / Computer Science
degree a plus
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, ethical,
responsible
- Ability to operate independently with only general
direction
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and
accountability
- Executive communication skills both verbally and in
writing
- Proficiency in product lifecycle management processes and
tools
- Bachelor's degree requiredSalary Range or On Target
Earnings:Minimum: $98900.00Maximum: $228700.00In addition to the
base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation
philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and
equity value.Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of
factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.We also
have a location based compensation structure; there may be a
