strong quantitative risk strategy lead who is an experienced risk
and payments professional responsible for developing risk solutions
for faster and better decisioning to facilitate sustainable
business growth. This lead will be part of an innovative,

to the old way" ever again.This role is responsible for assisting
in driving fraud risk aspects of business initiatives as well as
responding to fraud-related events and demands. Successful
candidates for this role will leverage industry knowledge, risk
expertise, statistical modeling/analytics, and innovative risk
strategies and solutions to enable Intuit SMB growth and expansion,
achieve optimal profitability, and enhance trust-related consumer
and merchant experience.Come join the Strategic Risk team as a
Staff Fraud & Risk Analyst.Responsibilities
- Strong business acumen and exceptional analytical ability, with
at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in fraud analysis,
prevention, and detection. Preferred experience with Fintech.
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of risk controls,
including fraud detection, loss forecasting, and
disputes/collections.
- Demonstrated experience in using data-driven insights to solve
business problems. Proficient in statistical analysis tools like
Python, SQL, and data visualization tools. Familiarity with big
data technologies such as Hive, Hadoop, and related concepts
preferred.
- Polished partnership and communication skills, with the ability
to interact cross-functionally with both business and technical
partners and articulate complex issues to senior management and
non-technical stakeholders. You operate within large organizations
by influencing decision makers, negotiating win-win outcomes,
driving prioritization across teams, and building consensus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver
solutions in a fast-paced environment.Minimum Requirements
- MS/PhD in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics,
Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field with 5+
years working experience in data analytics or data science related
roles, or a bachelor's degree in the same field with 7+ years
working experience.
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of risk policy, including
fraud detection, 3rd party fraud, credit bureau data, scorecard
modeling, pricing, loss forecasting, and disputes/collections.
- Demonstrated experience in diving into data and deriving
insights for business needs, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Proficient in statistical analysis tools like SQL, Excel, Python,
R, and data visualization tools. Familiarity with big data
technologies such as HIVE, Hadoop, AWS, and related concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to
interact with technical subjects and emerging technologies. Can
negotiate, prioritize across teams, influence decision makers, and
build consensus.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsive
and available during times of peak fraud activity.
- Experience working with third-party vendors related to risk is
a plus.
