We're growing fast and are excited to continue bringing world-class talent onboard to help shape the next chapter of our growth journey.POSITION SUMMARYEarnIn is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our growth engineering organization. The base salary range for this full-time position is $310,500 - $379,500 + equity + benefits. This hybrid position requires in-person work from our Mountain View HQ 3 days a week.WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people.
• Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics around growing our user base and building new features. Examples include improving top-of-the-funnel visitor metrics, user activation rates, user acquisition metrics, cross and upsell products, and improving user experience.
• Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your teams across the company.
• Dig into the code when required! You should be technical enough to help your team with issues requiring senior guidance.
• Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams.
• Be a mentor and coach for the engineers and managers in your team and help them advance their careers by enabling them to do the best work of their lives.
• Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speeds.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 10+ years of development experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in a management capacity leading Growth teams.
• You have built and managed multiple teams that regularly created high-quality output on top of critical infrastructure.
• You are familiar with growth hacking rapid experimentation while adhering to engineering and operational excellence.
• You are a creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude.
• You can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers.
• You tend to be the standard bearer who takes a great deal of pride in your work and can inspire others to rise to the occasion.
• You can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work.
• You are a software engineer who became a manager because you are great with people, and you want to expand what you can achieve while helping others grow in their careers.
