Catering Manager Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education - Sacred Heart University. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Catering Department, ensuring exceptional service to clients, and maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation.

• Supervise all catering events, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
• Collaborate with the Chef to create menus that meet client expectations and satisfy culinary trends.
• Train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service, promoting a culture of excellence.
• Monitor labor and food costs for each event, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, management, and associates, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Catering Department.Candidates for this role should possess 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level, and demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence, leadership, and exceptional customer service. A valid driver's license is required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office products and have a strong understanding of financial, budgetary, and accounting principles.
