Job Description:
Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) supports the
nation's second largest research program conducted among the VA
Hospitals and is looking for a full-time Clinical Research Lab
Assistant. The Lab Assistant position is located within a human
circadian laboratory at Stanford University and the Palo Alto VA
Medical Center and calls for a highly motivated, intelligent,
responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented individual. The
successful candidate must be a quick learner who enjoys acquiring
new skills, advancing projects independently and
collaboratively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with acquisition of physiological data from non-clinical
research participants
Assist in the cleaning and analysis of physiologic data
Perform literature reviews of relevant topics, as directed
Summarize statistical data
Following and ensuring compliance with institutional and federal
guidelines in laboratory research
Preparing figures and protocols and learning lab techniques.
Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Undergraduate student;
0-1 year undergraduate;
Preferred: Area of study in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry,
Chemistry, Physics or related discipline;
More than 1 year research lab experience;
Willingness to work with human research participants;
Strong organizational skills, work ethic, ability to multi-task and
meet deadlines;
Ability to work independently as well as with others as a team in a
productive manner;
